Headbutt

Normal

Summary

Headbutt is a Normal-type move with 70 power and 100% accuracy. Introduced in Generation I, Headbutt has a notable 30% chance of causing the target to flinch if the user attacks first. It can be taught to a variety of Pokémon through TM02 (in certain games) and is also commonly learned by Pokémon that naturally feature head or ramming tactics. Beyond its battle utility, Headbutt is unique for its out-of-battle function in Generation II and Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, where it allows players to knock on trees to encounter wild Pokémon or items. Its balanced combination of power, accuracy, and secondary effects makes it a versatile move in both battle and exploration contexts.
