Abilities: - Sand Force: This ability boosts the power of Rock, Ground, and Steel-type moves by 30% during a Sandstorm. - Hidden Ability: Sheer Force: This ability removes additional effects of moves, increasing the power of these moves by 30%.

Physical Characteristics: - Has a long, serpentine body made primarily of steel. - Its body hardens as a result of Mega Evolution, becoming a material harder than any metal. - Its jaws can chew through iron beams, and its entire body is covered in sharp, rugged edges.

Behavior and Habitat: - Known for its aggressive nature. - Typically found in underground tunnels, where it lives at depths of over six-tenths of a mile.

In Battle: - Exceptionally high Defense and decent Attack stats make it a formidable physical tank. - Its Steel/Ground typing gives it several resistances, notably to Rock, Psychic, and Dragon-type moves.

Evolution: - Steelix evolves from Onix when traded holding a Metal Coat. Steelix can then Mega Evolve into Mega Steelix when exposed to a Steelixite.

Interesting Facts: - Steelix-Mega is the heaviest Ground-type Pokémon. - Despite being a Ground-type, Steelix-Mega can learn several Dragon-type moves, such as Dragon Breath and Dragon Tail. - In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Jasmine's Steelix is capable of Mega Evolving into Mega Steelix.
