Rockruff is known to be very sociable and playful but becomes more aggressive as it grows.
It typically lives in mountainous regions.

In Battle:

Rockruff's Rock type attacks can be very effective against Flying, Bug, Fire, and Ice type Pokémon.
It can increase its Speed stat with its hidden ability Steadfast, which can give it an advantage in battle.

Evolution:

Rockruff evolves into Lycanroc. The form it takes when it evolves depends on the time of day and the game version: Midday Form during the day in Pokémon Sun, Midnight Form during the night in Pokémon Moon, and Dusk Form during the evening in Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.

Interesting Facts:

When it is close to evolving, Rockruff's demeanor changes and it tends to howl more.
Rockruff is known to have a very good sense of smell, using it to find its way back home, even from great distances.
The rocks covering Rockruff's body grow and harden as it ages.
