Counter is a Fighting-type move with no base power or accuracy rating because it functions based on how much damage it takes. When hit by a physical move, Counter returns double the received damage to the opponent. It only works if the user was hit by a physical attack in the same turn. While Counter is highly situational, it can be a strategic choice to turn the tide in battles when predicting physical attacks. Counter does not affect Ghost-types due to its Fighting-type classification.
