Infestation is a Bug-type move with 20 power and 100% accuracy. When used, Infestation traps the target for 4 to 5 turns, dealing damage over time at the end of each turn. During this period, the trapped Pokémon is unable to switch out or escape. Infestation's residual damage can wear down opponents, making it a strategic choice for stalling tactics and disrupting the opponent's switching strategy. This move is particularly useful for setting up additional conditions, like Toxic or entry hazards, while preventing the target from switching out.
Inflicts regular damage. For the next 2–5 turns, the target cannot leave the field and is damaged for 1/16 its max HP at the end of each turn. The user continues to use other moves during this time.
