Trick Room

Psychic

Summary

Trick Room is a Psychic-type status move with no power or accuracy. When used, it reverses the speed priority within the battlefield for five turns, causing slower Pokémon to move before faster ones. This can strategically benefit teams with slower Pokémon, allowing them to attack first. Trick Room is often used in competitive play to give an advantage to typically slower, bulky Pokémon and to counter fast and frail opponents. It has a priority of -7, meaning it is one of the last moves to be executed in a turn.

Effect

For five turns (including this one), slower Pokémon will act before faster Pokémon. Move priority is not affected. Using this move when its effect is already active will end the effect. Pokémon holding full incense, lagging tail, or quick claw and Pokémon with stall ignore this effect.
