Destiny-Bond Move Detail

Destiny Bond is a Ghost-type move with no power and perfect accuracy. When a Pokémon uses Destiny Bond, if it faints as a direct result of an opponent's move in the same turn, the opponent also faints. This move is particularly strategic, often used to take down stronger opponents or force a switch in competitive play. Destiny Bond's effects only last until the user’s next action, making timing crucial. It does not affect Pokémon with the ability Damp. Destiny Bond can add a layer of psychological warfare, as opponents must carefully consider their moves to avoid being taken down alongside the user.

Effect

If the user faints before its next move, the Pokémon that fainted it will automatically faint. End-of-turn damage is ignored. This move cannot be selected by assist or metronome.
