Mirror-Coat Move Detail

Mirror Coat is a Psychic-type move with variable power because it deals double the damage the user received from a special attack in the same turn. It has 100% accuracy but only works if the user is hit by a special attack. Mirror Coat does not consider the user's or the opponent's Special Defense when calculating damage, making it a strategic counter-attack move. It is particularly useful for Pokémon with high HP, allowing them to withstand strong special attacks and retaliate effectively. Mirror Coat can fail if the user moves first in the turn or if the opponent uses a physical move or status move. It is often taught to Pokémon like Wobbuffet, which can leverage its naturally high HP to maximize the move's impact.

Effect

Targets the last opposing Pokémon to hit the user with a special move this turn. Inflicts twice the damage that move did to the user. If there is no eligible target, this move will fail. Type immunity applies, but other type effects are ignored. This move cannot be copied by mirror move, nor selected by assist or metronome.
