Applin
Applin is a dual-type Grass/Dragon Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII.
Type: Grass / Dragon
Abilities: - Ripen: Doubles the effect of Berries eaten by the Pokémon. - Gluttony: The Pokémon eats held Berries when its HP drops to half or less. - Hidden Ability: Bulletproof - Protects the Pokémon from some ball and bomb moves.
Physical Characteristics: - Resembles a green apple with a worm-like dragon inside. - It has a stem-like body that is dark green on the top and lighter on the bottom. - Has two leaf-like arms and a pair of red eyes within the apple.
Behavior and Habitat: - Known to hide from enemies inside its hard apple-like shell. - Typically found in grasslands and forests.
In Battle: - Known for its defense-focused battle strategy. - Can use its Ripen ability to double the effects of its held Berry.
Evolution: - Applin can evolve into Flapple when exposed to a Tart Apple, or into Appletun when exposed to a Sweet Apple.
Interesting Facts: - Despite its dragon typing, Applin's design is based on the concept of a worm in an apple. - It's one of the few Pokémon that have different evolution outcomes based on the item used. - The choice between its two evolutions, Flapple or Appletun, is dependent on the version of the game: Tart Apples are more common in Pokémon Sword, and Sweet Apples are more common in Pokémon Shield.
