Summary

Teleport is a Psychic-type move with no power and perfect accuracy. Originally, Teleport allowed users to escape from wild Pokémon battles and return to the last Pokémon Center visited in the main series games. However, in Generation VIII, Teleport was reworked to become a utility move in battles, allowing the user to switch out with another Pokémon in the party. This new mechanic lets Teleport act similarly to moves like U-turn and Volt Switch but without causing damage. Teleport is often used strategically to gain momentum in battle or to safely switch into a more favorable matchup.
