String-Shot Move Detail

String Shot is a Bug-type move with no direct power for dealing damage and has 95% accuracy. Instead of causing damage, it decreases the target's Speed stat by two stages. String Shot can be particularly useful in battle strategy, especially in the early stages of a fight, as lowering an opponent's Speed can allow your Pokémon to outspeed them in subsequent turns. This move is commonly associated with early-game Bug-type Pokémon and is often learned at lower levels. Despite not causing any damage, String Shot can be pivotal in setting up other moves or weakening the opponent's ability to strike first.
