Shields-Down

Shields-Down is a unique ability exclusive to Minior, a Rock/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. This ability has distinctive mechanics that affect both Minior's appearance and its combat capabilities.

Effects:

Form Change:
Meteor Form: At the start of a battle, Minior retains its core encased in a protective shell, known as Meteor Form. In this state, Minior has enhanced defenses, with boosted Defense and Special Defense stats.
Core Form: When Minior's HP drops below 50%, it sheds its shell and transforms into Core Form. This transformation greatly boosts its offensive stats, particularly Attack and Special Attack, but significantly lowers its defensive stats. Additionally, this shift changes Minior's appearance, revealing its colorful core.
Status Immunity:
In its Meteor Form, Minior is immune to status conditions such as paralysis, sleep, and burn, providing excellent utility

Effects

When this Pokémon enters battle and at the end of each turn, if its HP is 50% or above, it changes into Meteor Form; otherwise, it changes into Core Form. In Meteor Form, it cannot be given a major status ailment (though existing ones are not cured), cannot become drowsy from yawn, and cannot use rest (which will simply fail). This ability cannot be copied, replaced, or nullified. This ability only takes effect for Minior.
