Sharpen is a Normal-type move with no power or accuracy component, as it is a status move. When used, Sharpen increases the user's Attack stat by one stage. This move is particularly useful for physical attackers that require a boost to their offensive capabilities. Interestingly, Sharpen was originally the signature move of the Pokémon Porygon in Generation I, enhancing its utility by making it a more formidable attacker.
