Clear-Body

Clear Body is a Pokémon ability that primarily prevents any reduction of the Pokémon's stats caused by the opponent's moves or abilities. This means that moves like Growl, which lowers Attack, or abilities like Intimidate, which also lowers the opponent's Attack upon entering the battle, will have no effect on a Pokémon with the Clear Body ability. It’s important to note, however, that stat reductions due to the Pokémon's own moves (such as the use of Superpower, which reduces the user's Attack and Defense after use) are still applied.

This ability is generally associated with Pokémon that have a sturdy or metallic appearance, reflecting the idea of their pristine, unalterable body. Notable Pokémon with Clear Body include Metagross, Registeel, and Starmie, all of whom benefit significantly from maintaining their stats during battle, thus making them more reliable powerhouses or tanks.

Effects

This Pokémon cannot have its stats lowered by other Pokémon. This ability does not prevent any stat losses other than stat modifiers, such as the Speed cut from paralysis. This Pokémon can still be passed negative stat modifiers through guard swap, heart swap, or power swap. This ability functions identically to white smoke in battle.
