Overgrow
Overgrow is an ability commonly found in Grass-type Pokémon and plays a strategic role in battles. Overgrow activates when a Pokémon's HP falls below one-third of its maximum. When triggered, it boosts the power of Grass-type moves by 50%, making them significantly stronger. This power-up can turn the tide of battle, allowing the Pokémon to deal considerable damage despite being in a weakened state.
Overgrow is one of the three standard abilities given to the starter Grass-type Pokémon in the Pokémon series, alongside Blaze for Fire-type starters and Torrent for Water-type starters. This thematic ability enhances their elemental moves during critical moments and encourages strategic planning and timing in battles.
