Refrigerate is a unique Ability in the Pokémon series, introduced in Generation VI with the release of Pokémon X and Y. This Ability transforms all Normal-type moves used by the Pokémon into Ice-type moves. On top of this type conversion, Refrigerate also applies a 20% power boost to these moves, making them not only change type but also hit harder than their original versions.
