Pokémon Yellow Version is part of the first generation of Pokémon games and was released as a special edition following the Pokémon Red and Blue versions. Officially titled "Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition," it was released for the Game Boy in 1998 in Japan and 1999 in North America and other regions.
