Sticky Web is a Bug-type status move with no power and perfect accuracy. When used, it sets a sticky layer of web on the opponent's side of the field, causing any opposing Pokémon that switch in to have their Speed reduced by one stage. This move is particularly valuable in competitive play for controlling the speed of the opponent's team, making it easier for your own Pokémon to outspeed and attack first. Sticky Web cannot stack, meaning only one layer can be active at a time. Pokémon with the Levitate ability, those that are airborne through the use of moves like Fly, or those holding an Air Balloon are immune to its effect.
