Shadow Rush is a Shadow-type move with 90 power and perfect accuracy, meaning it never misses. Introduced in Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness, it is a unique move used exclusively by Shadow Pokémon. Unlike other moves, Shadow Rush inflicts recoil damage to the user, where the Pokémon using it receives damage equal to a fraction of the damage dealt to the opponent. Shadow-type moves are super effective against all non-Shadow Pokémon, but are not very effective against other Shadow Pokémon. Shadow Rush doesn't benefit from type advantages or disadvantages except when used against another Shadow Pokémon. This move also contributes to increasing the user's Hyper Mode in Pokémon Colosseum or Reverse Mode in Pokémon XD, adding strategic depth to battles involving Shadow Pokémon.
