Water Gem

Water Gem is a consumable item in the Pokémon series that enhances the power of a single Water-type move by 50% when held by a Pokémon. Upon activation, the gem is consumed and no longer available for use during that battle. This one-time boost can be crucial for dealing significant damage in key moments, often turning the tide of a battle.

Introduced in Generation V, Water Gem is part of a broader category of type-boosting gems, each corresponding to one of the 18 elemental types in Pokémon. When a Water-type move is used by a Pokémon holding the Water Gem, the boost is applied before any other modifiers, making it an effective way to score important KOs or heavily damage opponents.
