Toxic-Orb toxic-orb Sprite

Toxic Orb is a held item in the Pokémon series that inflicts the holder with Toxic poison at the end of the first turn. This form of poison, known as Badly Poisoned, progressively increases the damage taken by the afflicted Pokémon each turn. Unlike regular poison, which inflicts a consistent amount of damage each turn, Toxic poison escalates, starting at 1/16th of the Pokémon's maximum HP and increasing by 1/16th each turn.

The Toxic Orb may seem detrimental at first glance, but it has strategic uses in competitive play. Certain Pokémon and abilities can take advantage of the Toxic Orb's effects. For instance, the ability 'Poison Heal' allows Pokémon like Gliscor and Breloom to regenerate 1/8th of their maximum HP each turn when poisoned instead of losing health. This effectively converts the Toxic Orb from a damaging item into a powerful healing tool.

Additionally, the Toxic Orb can be used with the move 'Fling
