Scanner

Scanner is an item found in the Pokémon series, specifically within the Generation III games: Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, as well as their remakes, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It does not have a direct effect when held or used in battles or contests.

Purpose: The Scanner is primarily a key item used for a storyline event. In the original Generation III games, it is located at the Abandoned Ship (or Sea Mauville in the remakes). 1. Abandoned Ship: In Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, the Scanner is found in a submerged section of the Abandoned Ship. A player needs to use the Dive HM to access this area. 2. Sea Mauville: In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the Scanner is located in the Sea Mauville, a decrepit research facility submerged underwater.
