Summary
Latiasite is a Mega Stone used to Mega Evolve the Pokémon Latias into Mega Latias during battle. When Latias holds Latiasite and the player activates Mega Evolution, Latias transforms and gains significant stat boosts, enhancing its combat capabilities. Specifically, Mega Latias gets increased base stats in Special Attack, Special Defense, and Defense, making it much more durable and powerful in battles.
In the context of competitive play, Mega Latias is valued for its impressive bulk and versatility. With access to a wide variety of moves, including Dragon Pulse, Psychic, Calm Mind, and Recover, Mega Latias can serve both offensive and defensive roles.
