Fast Ball

Fast Ball is a special type of Poké Ball introduced in Generation II, designed to catch Pokémon that tend to escape quickly or have high Speed stats. It is a part of the Apricorn Ball family, created by Kurt, a specialist in crafting Poké Balls from Apricorns in the Johto region.

Effects: - Catch Rate Modifier: The Fast Ball’s effectiveness varies depending on the game generation. In Generations II, IV, and V, it significantly increases the catch rate for Pokémon that are programmed to flee from battle, such as the roaming legendaries. In Generation II, it specifically is designed to improve catch rates for a few fast Pokémon species. Starting from Generation VII, the Fast Ball provides a 4× catch rate modifier for Pokémon with a base Speed of 100 or more. - Usage: When used in capturing, if the conditions are met (i.e., the target Pokémon has the requisite Speed stat), the Fast Ball's catch rate

Used by a trainer in battle : Attempts to catch a wild Pokémon. If used in a trainer battle, nothing happens and the ball is lost. : If the wild Pokémon’s base speed is 100 or more, its catch rate is 4× normal.

Short Effect: 4× effectiveness on Pokémon with 100 or greater base speed. (Gen II: Roaming or Fleeing Pokémon). Made from Wht Apricorn.
