Flame-Orb 
Flame Orb is a held item in the Pokémon series that inflicts the holder with a burn status condition at the end of the turn. This burn condition is typically detrimental since it causes the affected Pokémon to lose 1/8th of its maximum HP at the end of each turn and halves the Pokémon's physical attack power. However, Flame Orb can be strategically used to an advantage in several ways.
One popular strategy involves Pokémon with the ability Guts. Guts boosts the physical attack stat by 50% when the Pokémon suffers from a status condition, effectively counteracting the attack reduction from a burn and providing a significant overall boost in damage output. Pokémon such as Conkeldurr and Heracross commonly utilize Flame Orb to activate their Guts ability and enhance their offensive capabilities.
