Stall

Stall is a unique ability in the Pokémon series, introduced in Generation IV. Its primary effect ensures that the Pokémon with this ability will always move last in its priority bracket, regardless of its Speed stat. This means that even if the Pokémon is faster than its opponent, it will still attack after opponents using moves of the same priority.

Effects

  • Priority Modification: Stall modifies the priority of the Pokémon’s moves, making them always act last. It does not affect moves that are already classified as higher or lower priority (like Quick Attack or Trick Room); it only impacts moves within the standard priority bracket of 0.
  • Interaction with Trick Room: In Trick Room, which reverses the move order based on Speed, a Pokémon with Stall will still move last among the Pokémon in the Trick Room if all their moves are of standard priority.
  • Other effects: Stall does not activate any direct in-battle effect like damage boosts or status changes but impacts strategic
