Solid Rock is an ability in the Pokémon series that reduces the damage taken from super effective moves. Specifically, it reduces the damage by 25%, effectively raising the Pokémon's resilience against types that would otherwise exploit its weaknesses.
For instance, a Pokémon with Solid Rock that would normally take 100% additional damage from a super effective move will instead take only 75% additional damage. This significant reduction can often be the difference between a Pokémon being knocked out in a single hit and surviving to make another move.
Solid Rock proves especially beneficial to Pokémon with multiple type weaknesses. It helps mitigate the risk posed by opponents exploiting those weaknesses, thus establishing a more balanced defensive profile. Notable Pokémon that possess this ability include Rhyperior and Camerupt.
However, do note that this ability does not stack with other damage-reducing effects such as the item "Babiri Berry." This means the damage reduction from Solid Rock will apply first, followed by any further reductions from other sources.
