Perish-Body

Perish Body is an ability introduced in Generation VIII and is only known to a select few Pokémon, famously the Ghost/Grass-type Pokémon Cursola. This unique ability activates when the Pokémon with Perish Body is hit by a contact move. Upon activation, both the opponent and the Pokémon with Perish Body will receive a countdown status effect called Perish Song, which causes both Pokémon to faint after three turns unless they are switched out or one manages to knock out the other before the countdown finishes.

Key Effects:

  1. Activation Trigger: Perish Body activates when an opponent makes physical contact with the Pokémon possessing this ability.
  2. Perish Song Effect: Similar to the move Perish Song, this status condition causes both the attacker and the Pokémon with Perish Body to faint after three turns unless switched out. The condition is symbolized by a music note icon above the Pokémon’s HP bar.
  3. Switching Out: The effect will be null
