Innards-Out
Innards Out
Innards Out is a unique and somewhat rare ability in the Pokémon series. Its primary effect activates when the Pokémon with this ability is knocked out by a move that directly deals damage. When this happens, the opposing Pokémon that delivered the final hit receives damage equal to the hit points (HP) the Innards Out Pokémon had remaining before fainting.
Effects:
- Recoil Damage: If a Pokémon with Innards Out is knocked out, the opposing Pokémon takes damage equal to the knocked-out Pokémon's remaining HP before the KO. For example, if a Pokémon with 50 HP remaining is knocked out, the opponent takes 50 HP of damage.
- Activation Conditions: This ability only activates with direct damage moves. Indirect damage sources such as status effects (poison, burn), recoil damage from the opponent’s own move, or weather conditions do not trigger Innards Out.
