Slow-Start
Slow Start is an ability unique to the Pokémon Regigigas. This ability drastically hinders Regigigas' performance in battle by halving its Attack and Speed stats for the first five turns after it enters the battlefield. Specifically, during these initial turns, Regigigas' formidable base stats are significantly reduced, making it much less effective in both dealing damage and taking turns.
The ability's primary purpose appears to be balancing, as Regigigas has very high base stats overall and would otherwise be an extremely powerful Pokémon. After the five-turn period ends, Regigigas' Attack and Speed stats return to their full strength, making it a much more formidable opponent. However, this delayed activation means Regigigas needs to survive those initial turns, often requiring strategic support from the player, such as protective moves or team support to prolong its longevity.

- This Pokémon's Attack and Speed are halved for five turns upon entering battle. This ability also takes effect when acquired during battle. If this Pokémon loses its ability before the five turns are up, its Attack and Speed return to normal; if it then regains this ability without leaving battle, its Attack and Speed are halved again, but the counter keeps counting from where it was.
